Hello friend steemet

How are you? I like friends all in good health.

Come back with me @normanakbar

In this post I will get a photo of my journey and uncle to a Pot-making shop, Piggy Bank, and much more.

For more details, let's look at the picture below, and do not forget also with the description of place and its area.

Clay or clay is a common word for silicate base fractional silicate particles less than 4 micrometers in diameter. Clay contains a fine silica and / or aluminum fused. These elements, silicon, oxygen, and aluminum are the elements that make up most of the Earth's crust. Clays are formed from the process of weathering silica rocks by carbonic acid and partly generated from geothermal activity.

`Clay forms hard clumps when dry and sticky when wet is exposed to water. This property is determined by the type of clay minerals that dominate it. Clay minerals are classified according to the layers of silicon oxide and aluminum oxides that form the crystals. Group 1: 1 has a layer of one silicon oxide and one aluminum oxide, while the 2: 1 group has two layers of silicon oxide class and one layer of aluminum oxide. The 2: 1 clay mineral has strong elastic properties, shrinks when dry and enlarges when wet. Because of this behavior some types of soil can form wrinkles or "cracked" when dry.

Clay is a general term including many combinations of one or more clay minerals with traces of metal oxides and organic materials. Clay geological deposits consist mostly of phyllosilicate minerals containing a variable amount of water trapped in mineralized structures.

The clay is produced by nature, which is derived from the weathering of the earth's crust, which is largely composed of feldspatic rock, composed of granite rock and igneous rock. The crust consists of elements such as silicon, oxygen, and aluminum. Geothermal activity causes the weathering of silica rocks by carbonic acid. then form the occurrence of clay.

-Historic Clay

Some archaeologists argue that clay has been used as a ceramic material for a period of approximately 15,000 years. So it is not surprising if there are pieces or pieces of clay vase that after examined ternayata originated from neolithic times. The fact is that the clay piece is already 10,000 years old.

Human civilization since 5000 ago has utilized fire to make the object of clay is stronger and not easily penetrated water. Humans at that time also realized that by burning it, the properties of clay will be completely changed.

Paintings and drawings on the walls of civilization in Egypt about 5000 years ago show how the potter craftsmen are processing clay into bricks or vases. The use of clay from time to time is increasingly diverse, ranging from as materials for small objects up to as building materials. Bricks and tiles from clay are one of them.

Several relics of thousands of years old pottery have been said to be of high artistic value. The more clever a person is in processing the clay, the smoother and more beautiful the objects it produces.

From time to time, the use of clay as a building material still continues to develop. Even today, ceramic objects are still one of the major industrial sectors in the world.

How to Make Pot from Clay

    Preparation (Materials)

- Clay

- Slender white

- Paint

   Manufacture (Manufacturing Process)

- Take clay to taste and mix it with white lime with added enough water so it can be formed.

- Form the mixture above by hand together to form a pot with the desired shape.

- Paint the base color

- Paint the ornate pattern with the desired color

    Finishing

- Potted pots in paint

- Let stand for a few hours until mongering open room

- Lift the pot as dry

THE CERAMIC BRAIN COMBUSTION PROCESS

The final stage of making pottery is the combustion process. Burning objects made of clay is not easy. To do this activity required the right techniques and media. This is done on ceramic or pottery that has been made so as not to experience cracks or even broken and damaged.

First of all the earthenware that has been finished must be dried first. This is done so that the water content of the object evaporates and the water content is evenly distributed throughout the surface. The way of drying is quite simple that is enough to be stored on the open shelf and aerated. After a few days, the pottery is dried in the sun until it is completely dry (dry is temporary because if exposed to water or moist soil the soil will return soft). Once dried, then the pottery is burned by direct means or using another tool in the form of a furnace (oven / kiln).

In general ceramic combustion is known as grilled biscuits (for terracotta ceramics) or simple fuel and burn glaze (for glazed ceramics).

Based on its fuel temperature, pottery / ceramic is classified into 3 kinds, namely:

1. Earthenware

Namely the type of keranik that has a mature temperature between 900 - 1100 degrees Celsius. This type has 10 - 5% absorption.

2. Stoneware

Namely a ceramic that has a temperature of about 1200 degrees Celsius. This type has an absorbency between 2 - 5% and has a hardness like a stone.

3. Porcelain

Namely ceramics that have a temperature of about 1260 degrees Celsius and has a power absorption of 0 - 1%. This material is widely used for building industry materials due to its hardness and stability.

Types of ceramic combustion furnace according to its fuel:

1. Furnace with electric fuel

This furnace uses electric fuel. The heat generated by the furnace can be adjusted according to the needs of the burned object.

2. Furnace with kerosene fuel

In the kerosene fuel furnace there is usually a hose connecting the burning part with kerosene. This stove is usually used to burn stoneware type of ceramics.

3. Furnace with fuel of husk, straw, and bamboo

This stove is a traditional stove that is always used in making pottery / ceramic with low quality and in large quantities. This stove is usually made by digging holes first, then dumped with chaff, then burned. The results obtained are sometimes blackish or charred. This stove is widely used in the manufacture of jugs, precarious with low quality, and red bricks.

4. Furnace with gas fuel

This stove is similar to a gas furnace only fuel used gas. The heat source is generated from a gas cylinder flowed on a cross section metal. The result is very good and the pressure is very high. This stove can be used to make geranah or high quality ceramics and even ceramic glaze

That's a bit about making pots from clay, sorry what if less in explanations and images are lacking.
