@BLUERTHANGREEN AND A CORDLESS RECIPROCATING SAW JUST MADE MY LIFE A WHOLE LOT EASIER!

in homesteading •  7 years ago

This, is much better than anything that I would have thought of!

Okay, so it was mostly the saw that made my life easier on this one, just @bluerthangreen is the one who exposed me to this concept, so I've got to give credit. This portable tool is amazing for running fences through the woods!

THE BLESSING OF HELPER ANOTHER

If you saw my recent post about helping Bluerthangreen move his hogs then you know that I had to help him put in some fencing too. Much like with some of my fencing, which I had to get to that same day, the fence that @bluerthangreen was putting up ran through some woods too, which gave me a great opportunity. While helping, I saw that he was using a cordless reciprocating saw to cut away unwanted branches and saplings that were in the way.

A lot of times when working on a project like this, where fencing is going to be ran through the woods, either heavy equipment or a chainsaw will be used. Since my reciprocating saw is electric, I never even thought of using it way out in the woods. A few of the characteristics that make it better than a chainsaw for this are as follows:

  • Starts up with push of a button.
  • Don't need to "start it up" every time for a limb here or there.
  • Uses stored power in the battery rather than a gas engine.
  • Lighter and easier to get into tighter places.
  • Doesn't heat up like a chainsaw does.

Since my next task after helping @bluerthangreen with his fence was working on my own, as soon as I saw what I was dealing with I called him up to see if I could borrow his cordless reciprocating saw. Being as caring and generous as he is, of course he allowed me to borrow it. It made things a lot easier for me and helped me make it through some thicker parts of the forest with ease.

This is the type of stuff that I'm glad to be exposed to. One simple tool applied appropriately can save a lot of time on the homestead, and I'm really glad that I helped @bluerthangreen before working on my own project. I could have thought about all that I had to do and not bothered to offer my neighbor any help. It does seem like a good way to have more time to work on my own projects. However, but helping someone else first, I learned something that will save me time on my own project, and now that information will be there for years to come any time that I need it! Thanks @bluerthangreen!

As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

I believe in the adage thatt says, " what goes around comes around" and "whatever a man sows, he shall reap." I have known @papa-pepper as a very good person. For the few time I have met you on steemit i discovered how good and kind you are. It is your act of kindness that has brought good people like. @bluerthangreen to you. I'll follow @bluerthangreen right now. It's good and wonderful to have kind people around.

Thank you for that.

You are welcome sir

I am making a transition to as many cordless tools as possible, even as I work at our offgrid cabin site. As I work, I keep spare batteries charged with a small inverter connected to a deep cycle battery. Works like a charm. I regularly use a cordless drill, framing nailer, circular saw, and a small chain saw. I don't know how I would make it without them.

Nice! I love it that we live in the day and age where we can do such things! Tools like this just weren't available a few generations ago!

True. I think the technology makes a big difference in whether or not I can actually work productively alone as opposed to hiring people to help.

Outstanding blog that is dear..
thanks for sharing dear
i am your big follower...all time follow your blog and i appreciate your post

Thank you!

Those saws are great! They can be incredibly strong and power thru some thick stuff as well.
Great Post! Steem on :)

Yeah, this is going to be a huge help~!

i will always resteem your post @papa-pepper

Muchly. Those saws are so handy. :)

LOL!

Might seem like a little domestic story, but it speaks volumes about giving to be given, reaching out to be reached out to, kindness and responsibilities in relationships. Now @papa-pepper is a happier tree trimmer/gardener because of an introduction to a mere tool, lol ...

Cool! I'm glad that you liked it!

OMGosh! That's the name of the saw I need too!
I have some 55-gallon pickle barrels I want to cut in half to be used for containers for plants this summer. Planning on cutting them from top to bottom and using for greens (ie. spinach, arugula, etc) but I couldn't remember what kind of saw i needed!
THANK YOU!!!

In helping others, we find our purpose. In helping others, we help ourselves, because often times, they hold the key to our own path too. Helping him, really made it easier for you to see that equipment, and he was more than willing to give it to you, still saving you stress and few extra box. Your good heart will always lead you to the right place, Papa. I am watching you a lot sir. Still praying for you.

not feel tired pakek cordless saw is very good,

I'm not sure why, but I'm still amazed at how giving of ourselves, purely from the heart, is always rewarded...and often in the most unexpected ways. Love your heart-felt stories. Please keep sharing.

I'm glad that it made you appreciate that simple fact once again!

Oww this is soo cool probably one of the best post have seen today

Summary: ONE GOOD TURN DESERVES
ANOTHER
You helped your friend, he helped ypu!

LOL - Thank you @chiguy !

It's an idea of the @papa-pepper struggle..

A machette is a very helpful tool too.

I agree, the cordless sawz-all is a great tool for clearing trees and bushes from where your fence will go. However, their is much better blades for cutting live wood. Get yourself a 5 pack next your in town.

Nice post

Yeah, I just used the one that he had on their, but good point~

This is great, I just learned this trick last year as well from my moms city-slicker boyfriend. He was always using his to trim little things around here mostly since he was scared of using the chainsaw, but it really is a great tool for some quick tasks like that.

OH YEAH
I have

and the power station

awesome.

NICE!

Sure is a lot easier on the arms than a suede saw.

Another advantage: it uses less power than a chainsaw or bigger saw.

A saw like that could could in handing for tons of stuff! Good work man! I'm always amazed at how much work you get done!

Can’t beat the right tool for the job!

Those are really nice. I love ours!

Be careful prof...Think safety. Its to me one again
Ha ha. Peace1520561618473659219352.jpg

work smarter, not harder.
the right tool can make the job so much easier and safer.
well done bluerthangreen

We call them "Saws Alls"! They do wonders in many different aspects of cutting things up. That's what we usually break up film sets which unfortunately go to the dump....so much good material going to waste!

One day I will have a truck to bring tons of it on the homestead and I'll build a fence through the woods with your idea in mind! Thanks @papa-pepper

Having the proper tools for the job makes the job easier and go a lot faster. Having helpful and knowledgeable neighbours is a blessing!

Bro thanks for this great insight and also thanks for upvoting my post.
