WHY WE HOMESTEAD - Part 10 - THE EXPERIENCE

in homesteading •  7 years ago

This is Part 10 of a new series.

Life is made up of experiences, and we have a certain amount of choice over what we experience. For us, the homesteading lifestyle, where we are in constant contact with plants and animals, is what we want to experience. Enjoy the video!

You are the man with the plan. Some day I'll get off the hamster wheel and break out of the filing cabinet... Until then I'll have to live vicariously through you. Great wrap up to the series!

Live vicariously all you want, and feel free to learn from my mistakes. Thanks @otage!

Thanks for sharing this series Papa Pep! I am so far from your lifestyle, but admire it and hope to have more space/land someday to crack into this world of homesteading. Keep on sharing!

Glad top hear that I'm inspirational! You get one life in the flesh, so treat it well!

Thanks for sharing

Thank you again PAPA! Hope you do not mind but I am collecting these PARTS and putting them in my homestead guide, it is for personal use so the wife and I can have all our info in one book. Are you planning to release all these parts combined in a PDF by any chance? Also the videos... plan to combine them at any point? I am downloading and converting them to burn them in case I have limited internet where I am.... granted some work in just audio for listening in the car... guess cell phones are always an option. Also a transcript would rock, but I can do it myself... but def consider it... some of us will actually use a lot of this out there and might not have technology for a bit. If not it is a great idea.... thank you again for sharing this knowledge brother. Much love and freedom to you sir.

Personally, I hadn't considered taking this any further. I do like the way that you think though. Certainly get out of it what you can. I think about come progress with this! Thanks.

Great videos, makes an inspiration to us newbies ^_^

Great lifestyle mate ! Very inspiring

We enjoy it. Thanks for the encouragement!

I lived in apartments for a few years. I'm with you and couldn't do it again. We have some edible plants but don't have a large enough lot to have animals. That's hopefully the next step.

Yeah, i would never want to live in an apartment.

Video very good @papa-pepper. Thank you for sharing 👍

And thank you for watching it and encouraging me!

Well done, again, papa. You will make your little corner of the world better, then the little peppers, having been trained correctly, will continue the good work.
Just like a pebble thrown into a calm lake, so shall your work spread.

Haha, human filing cabinets". My eldest child adores that lifestyle. They aspire to live in a high rise condo in the heart of the city. They live in Canada and will be visiting me next week down here on the farm in KY. It's their nightmare, literally. I find that so fascinating. How one can perceive such different things from the same experience. I'm just so thankful I've busted free from those filing cabinets!

Love you ethos and thinking similar to mine. Unfortunately i'm stuck in that system but fighting to get out an fighting hard. Soon I will have my homestead :)
