Last week at the allotment - planting out beetroot + aubergines - peas nearly ready - making support for melons and gherkins

It was a hot 1 last week in the UK, Temperatures hit 46°C (114°F) in the sun. its been too hot to do much in the daytime.

Golden Beetroot ready to be planted out.

Got some extra aubergines left, so with it being such a hot summer il try some outside next to the beetroot.

Early potatoes should be ready to dig up soon.

Carrots need thinning a bit.

thanks, yes we havent had temperatures like this since 1976.
