Last week we planted all of the cabbage and the lettuce and now we actually have several cabbages growing. Today I had nothing better to do so I got the soil ready for the tomatoes and peppers. We are planting about 50 peppers in three different varieties and I think about a hundred tomatoes-four or five types. Since we have been buying these plants for the last couple of years we had plenty of little pots to plant these in.

We used a mix of potting soil and compost for the soil. This is what we have been using on most of our plants and it works out good for us every time.

After filling up the pots I compressed them down and then I filled them up again. I just wanted to make sure that there was enough soil in the pots.

After sweeping up the mess I was done for today. Next week we will be planting the tomatoes and peppers and I will do another post on that when we do.

I have been trying to do a post everyday but the reason I didn't do so well last week is because I was sick and there is nothing interesting to write about laying on the couch.

It is nice to finally feel better after 9 days of having it.

Planted broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, onion, kale, spinach and a few different type of lettuce.

Damn 9 days! That's tough!

A few weeks back I did this in preparing to plant MANY seeds! I planted some of the cold hardy ones already.

The same...cabbage and broccoli. I am using a new method this year on keeping track of when I need to plant. I bought one of these after seeing it on Off Grid With Doug and Stacey.
