BENEFITS OF RUMENT WASTE FOR ORGANIC AGRICULTURE

#Waste_Rumen

have a myriad of benefits to sustain the Way of Farming the Organic System, before discussing at length about the benefits of gastric livestock contents for organic farming. The way of organic cultivation will be little about the function and location of the animal organ of this ruminant.

Rumen Goat & Cow

Rumen is an internal organ (ordinary Java language called offal) digestive system such as stomach in herbifora type cattle. Rumen is an important, pre-digestive space for symbiotic living microorganisms, which has the function of helping to break down and soften quickly in animal feed.

The digestive system in animals such as: Cow, Buffalo, Goat, Horses, camels and animals of similar herbifora is commonly referred to as ruminants. Thanks to the large number of various living organisms that inhabit in the rumen, it has been known to have an important role in the process of facilitating the digestion of fodder.

TYPES OF MICROBE / MAJOR BACTERIA ON RUMENTS

Based on the results of a study reported by Hungate (1966), several types of microbial / rumen microorganisms are as follows:

1 - Cellulosic digestion microbes (Bacteroidessuccinogenes, Ruminococcus flavafaciens, Ruminococcus albus, Butyrifibriofibrisolvens).

2 - Microbial hemicellulose digesters (Butyrivibrio fibrisolvens, Bakteroides ruminocola, Ruminococcus sp).

3 - Starch digesting microbe (Bakteroides ammylophilus, Streptococcus bovis, Succinnimonas amylolytica).

4 - Digestive sugar microbe (Triponema bryantii, Lactobasilus ruminus).

5 - Microbial protein digesters (Clostridium sporogenus, Bacillus licheniformis).

BENEFITS OF RUMENTS FOR AGRICULTURE

Because of the abundance of the number or population of living microorganisms in the rumen, this is good news for organic farmers. This is because the waste from the Ruminantia Animal Husbandry Hut (RPH-R) Like Cow and Goat usually throw rumen contents away. According to various studies, the number of bacteria in the rumen reaches 1-10 billion / mI of rumen fluid, so the potential of rumen content has great potential to be utilized as a liquid organic fertilizer or as a mixture of solid organic fertilizer Bokashi.

In the process of making liquid organic fertilizer is needed a variety of nutrient-rich natural ingredients, such as the contents of rumen waste to improve the quality and quantity of agricultural products. By treating the slaughterhouse waste can diharpakan able to reduce the production cost of agricultural cultivation in Indonesia with Organic patterns.

The bacteria contained in the rumen accelerate weathering in the fermentation of organic wastes such as the manufacture of BOKASHI fertilizers, microorganisms in the rumen can increase the number of nutrients for plants, control pests and insects and suppress the number of pathogenic bacteria on the soil.

HOW TO WORK MICROORGANISM ON RUMENTS

a. Accelerate the fermentation process of solid and liquid organic fertilizers

b. Increase the amount and content of natural nitrogen

c. Inhibits and suppresses the growth of pathogens in farmland

d. Increase the organic compounds in the soil

e. There is no dependence on chemical / inorganic fertilizers

ADVANTAGES OF MICROORGANISM RUMENTS FOR AGRICULTURE

a. Can be self-produced (Independent Farmer)

b. The availability of materials is quite easy and cheap

c. Processing only with a simple tool

d. Very useful for farmers with Organic patterns
