Dribs and drabs and dreams of far-off places

in homesteading •  6 years ago

I miss my girls and stinky guys! I started a dairy herd up on Whidbey island and took the whole crowd to my family farm in East TX. That farm had been abandoned for ever 30 years and the crew sure made cleaning it up a lot easier (not the girls I was milking!)

Life changed a bit and we now live on a sail boat. I do remember well those sweet wee hours feeding the babies.

I look forward to your stories!

Blessings

Wow! That is quite a change! Yes, goats make short work of overgrown property. All my boys get wethered and go into the brush herd that I rent out. I don't like to put the milkers on the big blackberry piles because they scratch their udders. Thanks for stopping by!
