BEES

in homesteading •  7 years ago

One of the other fun things we do here on the stead, is, honeybees! Last year we only had one hive, and our years harvest yielded 20lbs of honey! Now, I will never consume that much honey, ever! But I am just not a true fan of it, nor am I fond of the bees or working with them. Luckily papa bear and baby bear have an interest in the happiness of our bees. So this year we decided to expand our hives to 3. The bees have been busy doing bee things, and it was time to add to their hive so they can continue to do what bees do!

Hoping for lots of honey to sell next year!

Wow, 20 pounds is a good amount of honey. Among other things, bees are something that we have on the horizon and are hoping to get into within the next year or two. Hopefully, you will have another productive year!

I grew up with honey bees and would love to get back into raising them.
