There is more to the American outhouse than people realize, and in Elk Falls Kansas they claim to be the outhouse capital of the world! The moon and stars were to determine male or female outhouses, the male had a star, the female a crescent moon. There are even two story outhouses, one in Mt. Crested Butte Colorado where the snow got so deep that they used the upper outhouse. The tiny museum of the the outhouse in Nova Scotia where you can buy outhouse coffee mugs, key chains, they call it an art museum. Then in 2013 there were multiple outhouses stolen across Canada!!
So you thought it was just an outhouse!!! :)
