This will be a short post because I have 4 days to finish my courses, ahkk
But quickly I must share the miracle of mullein ear oil. It is just the flowers of the beautiful plant, considered by some to be an invasive weed, but considered by me to be very versatile medicine! I made an infused oil with olive oil and mullein flowers this summer, with the intention of using it for earaches and for my dog's ear mites or whatever she has. My dad deals with it, and the vet medicine is expensive and the dog really really does not like it. Amazingly, she doesn't seem to mind the mullein oil much though! Less hate towards it then the other stuff, and she seems to be feeling better. Earlier this year when our friends who had children were staying with us for a bit, one of the kids got an ear ache and would literally not stop crying for a whole day. Luckily my friend knew where my mullein oil was and put it in his ear, and miraculously the screaming child stopped screaming! By the next day he was totally feeling better, running around and making messes as usual :P
So yeah, mullein ear oil works! I might try to add some garlic to a batch next year, as I heard it makes it more potent. I plan on researching the compounds and what not herbalism stuff that make it work when im done highschool. I love plant medicine, it is so beautiful and accessible! Thank you mullein :)
Does this stuff help relieve tinnitus ? (ringing of the ears) are there any potential negative side effects?

I do not know about that, but I am sure some good internet research will let you know. I really like Susan Weed and Yarrow Willard and his father as good credible herbalist information, they both make videos about Mullein more then once I think.
No side effects I know of at all, but you probably will have to clean out your with a cuetip or water at some point afterwards.

I figure that it would not cause ear aches because it is meant to cure ear aches, as long as it doesnt stay in your ear. Pretty sure it naturally comes out most of the time, but made the wax and goo come out so needed to be cleaned out. Mullein is an exportant for the lungs, which means it pushes things out, so I am assuming that that is how it works for the ears as well. Research research tho :P

If you live in north America or Europe im pretty sure it grows basically everywhere. I am sure it grows in other places as well. Look in places that are like old lots, it likes places where there are not very many nutrients and where the soil may be packed down. It has a really long tap root so it likes those conditions. There is a plethora of information online about harvesting it. I believe you can buy the leaf in health stores, and maybe the flower too.
