Good Day Everyone. I want to share my experience of the Bathroom RO assembly unit which I installed in my Bathroom. I have installed it by my own way of a quick fix desi jugad, so its not that presentable and organized, yet I would discuss some of the aspects of this unit and also little bit of explanation regarding "why we need RO water in bathroom too...".
First of all let me tell you that I had some objection with the supply of water in my bathrrom based on its quality, I knew that it was hard water and also TDS is quite high and because of hard water some sort of roughness in my skin I was experiencing. So I was looking for a filter assembly which would yield RO water in my bathroom. But in market mostly the ready made drinking water RO assembly along with body cabinet is plentifully available. So I did some additional research and finally got it from Amazon.in. And after ordering it I got it delivered to my address and then I made some desi jugad (own innovative way to fix)to fit it in my bathroom.
Normally it is recommended to place it in a horizontal platform, but in my case as space is restricted I have hanged it. But I have also put a piece of thermocool which would serve as a cushion between the wall and the assembly.
So basically this filter system has the following units :-
(1) Carbon Filter ( 2 Nos )
(2) Sediment Filter (1 Nos )
(3) Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane 75 GPD filter (1 Nos)
(1)Carbon Filter :-
This filter contains coconut based granular activated carbon, 1200-1400 IV (Iodine Value). These absorb chlorine molecules & other harmful chemicals and enhance the taste of water. There are two carbon filters in this package which I have bought. Both the filters are same, one is placed before the RO(Reverse Osmosis) membrane and the other one after the RO membrane.
(2) Sediment Filter :-
The unit contains premium grade 8 inch poly propylene fabric filter which absorbs micro sediment particles from feed water and reduces turbidity.
(3) Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane 75 GPD filter :-
It contains reverse osmosis membrane made from thin film composite (TFC) which acts as a semi-permeable membrane and when water is pressed upon it with high pressure of RO pump, it separates the harmful chemicals and supply purified water through one outlet and discharge waste water through another outlet.
Pressure Booster Diaphragm Pump :-
This pump creates pressure suitable for the reverse osmosis process to occur. The maximum pressure is preset at the factory and in my package it is designated as 120 PSI. I have checked the discharge capacity of this filter and in my case I am getting 35 liters per hour.
One power supply adaptor is also provided in conjunction with this to supply 24 Volt DC power to the pressure booster pump.
A diverter may also be required for fitment with the regular sanitary pipe of the house. Its an awesome experience after fitting the same in my bathroom. Earlier the water I was using in my bathroom was having 210 ppm TDS where as now it about 11 ppm and moreover it is completely potable water, I can even use it for drinking purposes.
Those who have water directly supplied from bore well or any other ground water source or river, then this assembly is well recommended. We must be careful with water we are using --- not just for drinking water but also for external use of water because in Asian countries the arsenic level is quite high in ground water. So dont take it for granted, else it will lead to severe skin diseases and to the extent of skin cancer if the arsenic level is quite high.
Apart from that it must also be noted that it will yield RO water which will meet the requirement of water standard in terms of color, odour, taste, turbidity, total dissolved solids(TDS), pH etc, this is very much important for the external use of water for kids in particular considering the the acute toxicity of under ground water these days.

I love jugad. Wish I could be so technical

Thank you yes....."desi jugad" is peculiar term in India which is way out of conventional practice to have a quick fix to an assembly/arrangement.
Anyway nice to have you here in my blog.
Thank you so much
