Materials Needed:
1 x 4 x 8 - Quantity depends on size and quantities of feeder(s)
1-½” - 1-¾” Wood Screws
First, I started by cutting a piece for the bottom (measurements vary) and 2 - 1’ pieces for the top.

Next, I cut a piece for the top (measurements vary).

Then, I cut a piece for the diagonal at the ends.

Lastly, I added the vertical slats. Make sure your slats are not wide enough for the goat’s head to fit through, otherwise they could get their head stuck. I also added a piece at the bottom. The piece at the bottom isn’t screwed in, it is just wedged in.

I can't say "thank you" enough for posting this idea! We just finished a run-in horse shelter and are going to add wall mounted hay feeders for inclement weather days.![20180206_143559.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmdX3zZK6ecJjExR5GNyep974axBoXuycR7gZg1UjYmXuQ/20180206_143559.jpg)
This saves me a TON of money from buying them retail!!! :D

Niice! It's amazing how goats prefer to browse rather than graze. They'd much rather reach up to get something to eat rather than bend down. Thanks for sharing.

So true! I knew I had to make it sturdy enough for them to lean on.

Thanks! It's actually a shed that we have been slowly converting into a barn. The last thing we need to do to it is add some sliding barn doors.
