There were somethings we decided to do ourselves to save money
When we decided to build and decided to have someone else do most of the work. We decided to do some of the smaller jobs that are overcharged for ourselves. One of those jobs was installing the gutters. We have had a ton of things going on and are just now getting to it.
The dogs made sure the work was done
They are pretty much attached to us. Where ever we go they are not far behind. Today they took advantage of the nice day and laid out in the sun just watching the gutters get installed in between napping and playing. Wishing we were doing more fencing instead of other projects. They want the rest of the land to run on and who can blame them?
The next job we start will be the front porch/deck
The next job we start will be the front deck or porch. I think of it as a deck because it won't have a roof over it. And I think of a porch with a roof over it. It will be big enough for people to knock on the door and back up for the door to be open without having to go back down the steps. To me that is a little annoying. Depending on the weather we may get the back deck done before winter hits. We are tackling projects one at a time every couple of weeks to keep costs in check. I would love to get the back deck done too this year but if we don't get it done till spring no big deal.
Well, the pups look pretty chill about the progress of your last few projects lined up for completion. It's looking like beautiful sunny weather. So, you can 'make hay, while the sun shines! 🏡🔨

Nice to see the house coming along. Not only is do-it-yourself cheaper, you actually know the job is going to be done properly. After the headaches you've had with the place I'm sure that's a big consideration!
