Trimming the big shade tree

in homesteading •  6 years ago  (edited)

We have a very large oak tree

It provides lots of shade. It is an old tree and has gotten a little wild as some branches were so low you could easily walk into them. So today we have started trimming it back.

The best part of trimming the tree

Besides no longer having to duck when walking under it. We can use the swing that is in thwe tree without branches hitting our face.
We will be using the swing more now that the low branches are gone. Thanks @tecnoblast for getting those branches I could not reach and climbing up the step ladder to get those higher ones.

Nice tree's you're a great trimmer. You would be good a trimming pot trees too :)

Wow, that tree is a whopper! It'll be great to keep the shadiness, plus have the swing to enjoy as well.
