Heavy Homestead Gardening & Running Electric Fence

in homesteading •  7 years ago

After heavy gardening I ran the electric fence to protect the chickens and garden from predators and intruders. I hauled a lot of mulch and compost in the last days to amend the soil of our garden. It is all sand out here.

I am going to get you caught up from the time we moved to our new homestead in Michigan to the present. Then I will continue to share daily videos and articles as they occur.

I am putting a huge pile of aged compost off to the side of the garden to use on a second garden plot I have planned. This will also work well as potting soil for other plants.

Melanie planted a hole row of mung beans which she started from spouts in the house.

After doing all this work in the garden, I ran some electric fence wire around the entire garden and the chicken coop. I also switched out to my stronger solar electric fence controller to protect the birds better.

We are hoping to become self sufficient by providing for most of our needs using resources form our own homestead.

Thank you for the suggestion. This is all very disturbing.
Apparently I am not seeing the entire picture here.
There is more going on behind the YouTube DIY channel than meets the eye.

See nothing has changed TR, your using the same tactics for creating a troll!
Poke him a bit harder!

What I don't get is you make videos for public use(A Product of your business) YT is not a business. It is a distribution vehicle.
And when the customer thinks your product just plain sucks. which is our right(First Amendment) I would think you would step up your game and put out better content Have you forgotten the customer is always right !

yes, I'm getting short changed and this after sending so many gifts and toys to troy. I now wish I had paid my own bills instead of sending him all my money.

Neighbor hauled most of the mulch to this garden and unloaded the truck too. Troy's truck wasn't running all the time cause oil in coolant bottle and faulty wiring causing intermittent operation. The wiring fault maybe happened when Troy started his truck with super crapisators.

OH MY LAWRT, troy puts oil in the coolant reservoir? Only an idiot would do that. Ok, I understand it now.
