Since they went in on January 30th, this is .... day 7? That's pretty awesome. Still waiting on the cilantro, spearmint, and lemon & lime basil.

Yay!! I can't wait for summer basil again! I will have to pull out the pesto in the freezer to tide me over. Congrats!!

do you make full blown pesto, then freeze it? i've tried a couple of times, and the texture is quite ... well ... awful.

I do! I puree basil, lots olive oil, and garlic and then freeze that, then i add it into other things. Not the exact same as fresh, but its great on sandwiches and in pasta, etc...

Does it get any better than fresh herbs in the middle of winter!? Yummy!!!

YES! fresh herbs on fresh veggies on a sunshine picnic in summer!
