Good morning, Steemians!

This morning I wanted to do another fruit information profile, this time about the guava, Latin name Psidium guajava.

The Guava is native to Mexico, Central and South America. It's in the Myrtle family.

Here is some information I found on Wikipedia and in one of my favorite books, Florida's Best Fruiting Plants, by Charles R. Boning, that may interest you.

As you can see, guava grows best in Florida around the southern coast

Here are some pictures of my Pink Guava tree. Pink guava tree will reach a mature height of 25-35 feet. Right now it's about 6 ft.

Whether it's pink or white guava, I love them both. When I was in Venezuela, they usually don't just eat the guava, but rather make smoothies out of them and add sugar. However you like to enjoy guavas, they are an extremely nutritional fruit that everyone should at least try!
