First Question.

One of the first questions people usually ask when they meet you is:"Where are you from?"

I am from Worcester, Western Cape, South Africa. (about an hours drive from Cape Town)

I have been living in the same town for 23 years. Born and raised, still stuck.

I could have moved to the city (or anywhere) a long time ago but this is my home and even if I left I probably would have been back by now :)

As you enter Worcester you will be in awe. Worcester is situated at the foot of the magnificent Brandwacht and Langeberge mountain range and is surrounded by vineyards and green valleys. New-pano-closer-vines-1024x315.jpg

Worcester basically exists because of the farms that surround the town and the winemaking tradition that dates back more that 250 years. Feel free to check out the Worcester Wine and Olive Route website to explore the beautiful valley.

Another big tourist attraction, and an absolute must do in our town is the Game drive at the Fairy Glen Big 5 Game Resort where you will see the big five (Lion, Cheetah, Rhino, Buffalo, Elephant) and many other animals (Oh, and they also make AMAZING food)Safari-1-600x350.jpgsafari.jpg!

Apart from the animal kingdom we have the Karoo Desert National Botanical Gardens. A beautiful adventure surrounded with fauna and flaura. Don't forget to check out the season times to ensure that you experience it at its peak.Karoo-Desert-National-Botanical-Garden-©-South-African-Tourism.jpg

We have many architectural buildings (come enjoy our heritage route) in our town and a museum "Kleinplasie" where you can learn all about the history of the town. Dutch_Reformed_Church,_Church_Street,_Worcester.jpg

There are many more activities, places to explore and adventures in Worcester that will have you coming back every time. Don't forget to check out the jaw dropping places to book your stay!

Interesting fact: Worcester is also known as the care capital of South Africa. (the capital of the disabled) We have the The Institute for the Blind and The National Institute for the Deaf. Worcester is a place where everybody can grow despite the challenges life may hold.

I love my town and everything in it. I am so blessed to be in such a breathtaking place.

I encourage you to come pop into the Golden Valley and have a taste of my life.

Much love and endless blessings
