Hello Steem friends!

What we have here today is a contest run by @knowledge-seeker all about photographing the Homestead life. Go ahead and click on the original post for this week's contest. You will see last week's winners and this week's theme.

This is my entry:

I must say it again, this is my favorite way to eat me some prunes... Re-hydrated and pickled in a cup of earl-grey!

There is a previous post for this super simple recipe. And I really wish I had gotten more feedback...not even for the Steem but really because I wanted to share this childhood delicious treat. I had forgotten about it for a while and now that winter has settled in, some ideas are coming back to life!

• Make a cup of tea
• Let it cool
• Fill a mason jar with tea and prunes
• Enjoy the next morning!

We are preparing to homestead (in the modern sense of the word of course). We do what we can to practice self reliance in a 500 square foot apartment in the middle of Brooklyn!
