Homosexuality As A Manifestation Of An Infectious Disease

To make it clear, this is not a targeted homophobic post. I have accrued some bibliography and references much like any scientist would. I am not a scientist nor do I claim scientific superiority to the established status quo. This is simply a review about the emergence and spread of homosexuality in nature from a given evolutionary perspective. Take it with a grain of salt.

If homosexuality is a valid means of romantic bonding, then it seems implausible for nature to disallow such bond since it limits the function of reproduction. Furthermore, If the “love concept” that is formed is a natural occurrence, why are gays so much more promiscuous?

By logical mathematical means, an entirely homosexual society would cease to exist beyond a single generation.

If we were to analyze homosexuality through the lens of infertility, then it could be interpreted as a form of biological disability. Infertility occurs mainly due to disease or genetic malfunction. One concept in biology that can explain infertility as a genetic disease is the one of viral or bacterial infection. It is important to note here that by far homosexuals spread the most STDs.

Taking the above parameters, in order to examine homosexuality as objective as possible we would need to examine the situation from a bird-eye's view, much like an alien visiting earth for the first time. It will be illogical to examine it through emotion from the eyes of human beings due to heavily biased afflictions. The political landscape around this phenomenon makes it almost impossible sometimes to even have a normal conversation.

Errors occur in nature all the time, and homosexuality does seem to explain the emergence of such an error. It seems that somewhere in the brain of a homosexual individual a critical error has occurred that changes their behavior radically. Usually if an error does not aid survival, a given species would die out. In humans though, this is expressed differently. Due to the fact that we use politics, minorities have the most power. Those who vote are the people that demand things from society. The average person does not vote. Thus, the politicians cater demands to these minorities in order to get elected. We observe this occurrence in almost every society. This also explains explains why deviant behavior, if treated politically, can spread like a wildfire. Homosexuality is thus pushed today as a function/utility for human politics, unbeknownst to its original function. It can be indoctrinated to children much like everything else, hence the rate of homosexual children being a much higher occurrence if they derive from homosexual families.

I am not in agreement with the term "mental disease" since mental disease is nothing more than deviant behavior from the greater majority. In other words, if you find yourself doing something others don't do, you might be classified as mentally ill. For this reason, I also do not consider psychology a valid form of science since the ranges and spectrum of human behavior are so vast, nothing can be effectively measured scientifically in a falsifiable and reproducible way. This is also why most psychological research fails and is often heavily biased. Thus, the main function of psychology in society is that of social engineering. People in modern societies are troubled by existential angst and the provision of narratives from an individual that has been granted authority seems to alleviate the problem, at least in some respect. Priests and mages used to have this function in society in the past. Psychology in a sense has replaced the main function of religion.

Moving on to epidemiology, we note in nature organisms that affect behavior of other animals for their own means. This produces an effect to the infected organism that resembles what our society mistakenly labels as "mental disease". In order to avoid delving into lexical confusion, allow me to put forward some basic concepts:

One is considered ill in our society if one is incapable of refraining from a biologically non-necessity activity or desire. Biologically necessary activities or desires are those which a species cannot perpetuate itself through generations: e.g., procurement and consumption of resources, expurgation of waste, survival to sexual maturity, sexual reproduction, and education of the young.

Desires are either biological or psychological in character; they are distinguished according to whether the desire leads toward a biologically necessary or biologically non-necessary activity.
Desires are also either innate or. habitual. Habitual desires are acquired desires. Consider an example: A person who has never smoked weed cannot possess a desire to smoke weed for weed's sake, but only for some other sake, e.g., being accepted within a hippy group. Further, a person who has not acquired a refined taste for squid ink through frequent consumption thereof cannot desire to drink Maltese squid ink for Maltese squid ink's sake, but only for the sake of squid ink in general, for curiosity, health reasons, or for something else.

Infection is the invasion of an organism's body tissues by disease-causing agents, their multiplication, and the reaction of host tissues to the infectious agents and the toxins they produce.

It is clear, if we derive meaning taken from their traditional accepted use, habitual desires are the result of certain activities. Innate desires, however, are not. Here we will examine how homosexual desires are manifested from habitual ones through infectious biological agents.

Before we do this let us set a fundamental ground with some basic examples. We all know how rabies works. An infected animal, usually a dog, becomes more aggressive prior to its death. This is why it ends up biting other animals in order to facilitate the infection. This is an example of a behavior-modifying organism. The dog has limited control over its body. The infectious organism does almost all the work.

There are hundreds of other organisms that also affect behavior. A virus causes caterpillars to climb up trees. Then it liquifies their organs so the body disintegrates and the virus can be spread by the wind. There is a STD for grasshoppers that makes them more sexually active. In the days prior to experiencing the symptoms of the flu, the virus will make you more sociable so can transmit it more.

Here's the real kicker though: There is a parasite that has the ability to modify sexual preference. Toxoplasma-gondii. You've probably heard of T. gondii as the amoeba that infects cats. Rats are a carrier of T. gondii. When infected, a rat will be attracted to cat urine, making it more likely to be eaten by a cat - the intended host. Toxoplasma ‘s main function is to alter the brain in order to make the rat sexually attracted to cat urine. Toxoplasma's ability to make rats sexually attracted persists even after the rat is no longer infected.

Thus, a parasite has the ability to permanently alter its host sexual preference. Delving deeper into the facts behind T. gondii and we observe that 1/3 of all humans are chronic carriers of toxoplasma. Males with toxoplasma are taller and have more attractive faces, which translates in more sexuality activity and spreading the virus further. Toxoplasmosis increases the concentration of dopamine in the brain of infected humans. For example, an individual becomes more likely to do risky, thrill-seeking behavior. Toxoplasma immunoglobulins are also found in 9% of newborns in the U.S. which surprisingly mathes with the percentage of homosexuals in the U.S.

Toxoplasma is transferable from pregnant woman to their baby. Toxoplasma infected women have male sons 72% of the time. Toxoplasma this likely infects the fetus of pregnant mothers, making the baby more likely to be male, permanently altering the baby's brain to create sexual attraction to men.

You've probably heard the false "genetic hypothesis" that claims that female siblings of gay men have more babies, meaning that, gayness must be an advantage. The "gay gene" has been disproven, but toxoplasma explains why the sisters are having more babies. The same toxoplasma that altered their brothers’ brain altered their brain to increase their sexual attraction to men. Homosexual men are having more sex than their heterosexual counterparts, spreading toxoplasma further. Using HIV as a proxy for how effective homosexual behavior is at transmitting disease, and we discover that homosexuals are 10% of the population but account for 60% of new HIV cases.

In response to homosexuality, homosexual disgust (aka "homophobia") has evolved as a means to avoid toxoplasma infection. The purpose of disgust is disease avoidance. Humans are disgusted at the sight of feces because feces has a lot of bacteria. There was no need to learn to avoid feces because it was acquired genetically. Similarly, homophobia was found to be genetic, and also present in nearly half the population. This means that homophobia evolved because it increases biological fitness by assisting in the avoidance of toxoplasma.
