Homestead Photography Entry - Green 🍐🍈🥦

My competition entry

Well I stumbled across @knowledge-seeker ‘s homestead photography contest, two things i really love are homesteading and photography so i definitely felt compelled to enter, only problem was what to take a picture of, the theme is green, one thing i have plenty of in the garden is green!

I almost decided that this would be my entry

The above is a cucamelon, I’ve never grown these before but it’s meant to be worth it. They grow to a little larger than a grape and have lemon/melon flavour, I absolutly love the markings on these little guys as they totally look like little baby melons

I had to choose this beautiful little flower

This is the flower of a Aji Lemon an amazing chilli that i have growing in my greenhouse

One of the things that i really like about it are the flowers. Most of the sweet, as well as the hot peppers only have white flowers, and although they are beautiful in their own right seeing the splash of green on the little flowers face is great to see and also a fair warning to our little one that this little flower packs a punch as its one of the hottest varieties we have in the greenhouse.

If you don’t grow the Aji lemon, check it out it’s incredibly prolific and has an amazing citrus taste to it!

This is the first time I’ve posted on this template i’ve been working on, what do you think does it look ok? I’d be more than happy to get some constructive criticism to make my posts the best they could be!

Until next time, all the best

First entry and a nice one! How does the cucamelon taste? I have been wanting to add that to my food forest because they just look so darn cute.

Thanks! @thelaundrylady To be honest i don't know as they are just starting to fill out now, hopefully with a bit more sun ill be able to let you know by the end of the week. they do look great and have been doing ok growing up my tomatillos in pots so not really taking up any space :D

I think you have done a great job with the photography @digitaldan! It is kind of funny that the Aji lemon flower looks like that and can be spicy. We have been trying a few newer things as well this year, but I may have to check out those cucamelons. Good Job!
