Let's go on foot on Homyeong Lake
Homyeong Lake is the first lake built in Korea for pumped-storage power generation.
Homyeong Lake is a beautiful scenery reminiscent of the beautiful scenery of Homyeongsan Mountain and the wide reservoir of Baekdu Mountain.
In addition, Homyeong Lake is located at the very center of Korea's latitude, so it is worth giving meaning from various angles.
Considering the level of technology and equipment at the time the lake was created, I think it must have been a great event to awaken the soul of the nation.
The location of the lake is 600 meters above sea level, and it is said that a drainage pipe is installed 700 meters underground to Cheongpyeong Lake.
This lake is the upper reservoir of the pumped storage power plant. The total construction period of the Cheongpyeong Pumped Storage Power Plant was carried out over 52 months and was completed in April 1980.
If you look at the memorial tower on one side of the hill around the lake, you can see that there were many victims at the time.
It seems right to see it as a calling lake where their souls stand together.
Sometimes I feel like I should hold a poetry recital to comfort their souls.
It would be good to discuss with poets in the region and promote it.
One of the attractions that I have not visited often, even though it is close by, is Homyeong Lake, and today I am going to walk there from my house.
Recently, it was opened, but for a while it was not opened because it was an important national facility.
So even though I was close, I couldn't go often, and I went on special occasions, but now I can go anytime.
In particular, there are 10 bus routes a day from Sangcheon Station.
Of course, the bus seems to transfer in front of the Sangcheon 4-ri village hall with buses departing from Gapyeong or Cheongpyeong.
But I'm going to walk from home today.
When I come, I plan to come down by bus and transfer to the bus that used to use the subway.
Then we leave now.
