Lovely people!
A local friend of us, from Hungary is for his hobby a beekeeper and has really delicious honey! I never tasted this before! Very light in color, little pollen present but delicious taste with a mix of linden flower, acacia and white tabaco flower ... We would offer it for him at 5 € / pot of 500gr in our etsyshop at a democratic sendingsprice.
Why offer honey from Hungary?
This honey is very consciously produced, the attention and love for the profession, is intense and you can feel and taste it. A beekeeper is also aware of the types of honey that he offers and because of this; taste and health value, can vary enormously. The Hungarian Puzsta where we live is an oasis of wild nature and life. Insects are still present in large numbers. Even though the vast majority of the residents are farmers, they are always working on a small scale and with a lot of attention for organic progress. They are not allowed to carry licenses as organic farmers yet, but they often have larger requirements than are imposed on organic farmers. These people are still really involved with nature.
An average Hungarian farmer ... often has 2-3 jobs! He not only maintains his farm and animals to provide as much of his own livelihood as possible, but he also does a full-time job to pay the bills. All well, they had to receive a respectable wage, but the average hourly wage is 3 € and people speak of "well" paid.
What do you pay for?
For a wonderfully cared for product, with real health benefits. Attention to the bees who are so vital in our human existence. A better future for the Hungarian farmers who want to creatively improve the world. Organic attention to the environment. Quality for a real low price!
