Colorado Citizens May Be Able to Pay Their Taxes In Bitcoin And Crypto This Summer

Colorado Governor Jared Police announced on February 15, 2022 that Colorado residents will soon be able to pay their taxes on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies earlier this summer.

With the passage of the Colorado Digital Token Act in 2019, Colorado police and other government officials are taking the lead in making their state more bitcoin and cryptocurrency business friendly and local friendly. Purpose such as dining, groceries, or other shopping.

Police commented that allowing residents to pay their taxes in bitcoin and cryptocurrency would be more seamless and cost-effective than dollars. Any bitcoin or cryptocurrency collected by the state will be instantly converted into dollars through an intermediary.
