Storing an NFT means that the NFT can be created entirely outside of the underlying smart contract without the need for an off-chain storage provider. Proof, the private community behind the Moonbirds NFT collection, has announced that it is fully migrating its blue-chip collection. Allows images to be fully incorporated into underlying smart contracts.
In a community live stream on August 30, Harry Thomas, Prof's director of products, explained that the new approach will mean that in the future, a viewable image of a Moonbird NFT will be created from contracts from industry layers, which will be stored on the blockchain.
