There is a heated debate going on between Bitcoin developers and users alike, an issue we started covering here in December 2019 in Bent. Adding restrictions will make an op code come alive. This will allow users to create complex agreements on Bitcoin that will enable more complex pre-configured transactions and improve the user experience regarding security and the batching of a large number of transactions.
I think these are functionalities that will add usefulness to many Bitcoin users, especially the larger economic actors who hold a lot of Bitcoin who need to have the highest level of security humanly possible and who send large amounts of Bitcoin. Users on a daily basis.
