Hope and salvation: But we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now receive reconciliation. Romans 5:11

Faced with a humanity fallen by the original sin, the apostle Paul in his epistle to the Romans showed with wisdom to the first christians that Jesus is the only mediator between God and humanity, for Paul there is no hope, no salvation, no justification, outside of Jesus Christ.
And to understand this spiritual affirmation we must analyze this truth from the perspective of grace, and the free action of the Holy Spirit on believers. Because the free grace, and not the works of the law, according to Paul, is what is opposed to sin that brings ruin and death: "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God" Romans 5:1-2.
The virtue of hope is fundamentally the security of receiving eternal life, and thus the blessedness of salvation. And it is according to Paul, by the faith in the sacrifice of Jesus, and not by human efforts, that men can receive the grace that reconciles man with God, making men children of the creator of all things. Faith, hope, salvation are gifts that God grants by his mercy (compassion, kindness, gentleness).
Jesus is in this sense, according to the apostle Paul, the new Adam, who through a new pact with God, rescues humanity from sin, with these words Paul expressed this fact:
"Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! For if, while we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation" Romans 5:9-11.
