Greater Banded Hornet

I have been rearing this Hornet for past two months now. This Hornet is found in the northeastern states of India and other parts too. This hornet is fond of banana flowers and some flowering trees, These two hornets are of the same color but differ in size. And the bigger one lives inside the holes of the earth, and the smaller one lives on branches of trees or straws.

The above hornets is smaller in size, they are like scavengers, hunt insects, eat dead grasshoppers, and also fond of banana flowers.

The other one lives in the earth holes, bigger in size and are more painful when stinks.
