Some say its hoax or scam to get people hooked up, some say its predictions, while some agree that it is just non-sense. While there are no concrete studies to prove its truth, even the Astrologers agree to one thing, that it’s purely predictions and suggestions based on the planetary alignment and positions of the stars. At the least that’s what they will tell you. People make various arguments stating Horoscopes and Astrology are all false and fake. And the only valid defense that Astrologers give to the arguments is that, it’s all predictions based on your birth chart and stuffs and nothing is for certain.

It’s not precision guess making for one fact, it only deals with the likelihood of events that may happen or may take place in one’s future, but whatever the likelihood, it all ends up on the actions and responsibilities that people take for their own life. And Astrologers never fail to mention that in their predictions. They are so cautious and foxy in the services they provide, people get hooked on to regular weekly, monthly subscriptions.

“People read what they want to read, believe where their beliefs lead them, and ask questions to which their hearts and mind seek answer to”.

So why are people so hooked to Astrology?

At present, the population of the world exceeds 7 billion. Have you noticed something? The numbers for likelihood of every events is constantly increasing, and most generalized predictions aren’t years behind. Predictions can be on point for some, while it may go totally out of context for some, for the same category or group. Just a rational thought.

Sometime ago, I worked as a content writer for an Astrological Service based Company where I mostly did translation. During the recruiting process, I asked the manager if the content and services provided to the clients are ever accurate or if they don’t match up to the client’s expectations, how we would be accountable for the services provided, and the predictions offered. Even as to an Employee, the answer he had given had so much evasive and allure to it, I had myself thinking, how do people pay so much for their services lol.. Then it hit me, over 7 billion people and the wide variety of people, apparently there’s a market for everything, you just have to devise a workable system to sell and market your services.

People who are most likely to get hooked onto these things are teenagers and adults. Teenagers concern themselves mostly with their personal love lives, seeking any information about their possible lovers, partners, education, and future. Whereas adults seek to get advice, guidance, and possible future outcomes on their personal (marital), family, financial and professional aspects of life. The kind of people and questions they raise are hilariously funny sometimes. Daily readers, subscribers are those group of people who constantly hope and seek any form of answer or assurance to their own state of life.

When you look at it, rational and logical people don’t get involved in such. The people who do are the ones who are so caught up in various matters of life, leaving them more anxious day by day, and left to wonder on when their circumstances will change for the better. They don’t mind paying a dollar or two for the questions they seek answer to. Slowly, they get caught up in the whole process as the quotes, answers all seem convincing, relatable, and attractive to read and promising enough to follow.

In today’s time, I don’t think anyone is dumb enough to follow on the old traditions of astrology, but the world has become so complex, and the lives only more complicated, people constantly have questions to which they desire answers to. The unspoken and unanswered questions all remain within oneself. And most people seek to Astrology, these people are regular readers and subscribers.

I just shared a short and little insight to it this topic. It certainly does not cover everything, as It would go on to be a lot of pages, probably boring. Personally, I don’t believe in Horoscopes and Astrology, but I do read my horoscope every day. It’s because of the fact that someone in some corner of the world has a pretty interesting use of words and English quotes that I always love to read. Personally speaking, I am a Taurus. And I love my sign for it has the features which describes me the Best. The Bull, stubborn, kind, helpful.

thanks bot, i'll look into it lol

Well, let's look at a simple thing, the Moon itself affects the tides of the ocean. And, it most likely affects menstrual and birth cycles. I know, I know, the experts say that it doesn't affect anyone. But, my eldest sister was a nurse in a delivery ward and she would tell you that things would pick up at a full moon.

I watch and post information about space weather. One of the theories that I have been following is that sun activity is linked to major earthquakes. The guy with the theory has been over 70% accurate in predicting the location of an upcoming earthquake out to 24 hours before it happens.

Another part of the space weather, is that it is pointing towards the ability to change the climate on the planets. Earth isn't the only planet experiencing global weather changes. Even Jupiter's huge storm has seen changes, which can't be touched by man-made global warming.

Another theory has tried to link the sun's activities with the downfall of empires. Nothing that strife increased right before the sun would go quiet and then the empire would fall. It is possible that the sun is affecting humans in more ways than just the extra radiation you get while flying.

So, with just these scientific studies we could assume that based on what is going on in the solar system and the galaxy as a whole, it is possible that alignments at birth could affect people down to a DNA level. There is so much we don't know about DNA.

On a religious side, even Christians would have to accept the fact that the Three Magi were astrologers and found Christ by following the signs from the stars in the sky.

when you see everything in terms of atoms and energy, everything is interrelated, and you'd get the answers to most of the unsolved questions today, Tesla said that.. And even in DC, Lex luthor realized something, when he was able to see how superman was able to see everything(interconnected). So i agree to what you're saying bro.. There's so much we don't know. Everything affects us in some way. We are only so little to comprehend everything that takes place in the universe, but its our mind, thats in sync with the universe, at the most minute comprehensible level. I don't know about the Three magi though lol ^_^
