F.H.Harvey were awarded the QE contract in August 2007. This huge £559m development is the first acute hospital to be built in Birmingham for over 70 years. It covers a floor area of approx 500,000m2 over 9 floors towering over 63m into the city sky. The building contains 30 theatres and enough rooms for 1,105 single beds spread over 92 distinct zones, including one floor dedicated to the armed services.15.jpg
