Here is one that I wanted to get out there earlier, but with all the sleepless nights last week literally votebegging all over the world for the Netcoins contest, I kinda kept leaving this off til "tomorrow", if you know what I mean.
So here it is.
Digital Ocean & HACKTOBERFEST DEALS!
Digital Ocean was recommended to me by an extremely reliable source, namely a fellow Steemian who is right up there!
The company has been around for like a decade now, many people may remember them for knocking down the VPS Hosting prices and options available to everyone.
Basically they were a if not in fat "THE" key player in making VPS hosting affordable to and for everyone!
That is all I am going to say on that topic, if that isn't enough to promote their reliability and longevity in the Hosting market then idk what is.
HACKTOBERFEST
Basically this is what it boils down to:
The promotion is limited to October only, so if you want to take advantage of this great deal, you need to do it QUICK!
6 DAYS LEFT!!!!!
The promotion is EXCLUSIVELY a "Word of mouth" promotion, meaning that they are only giving away this $100 bonus via referral links.
That's right, they have made it so that nobody out there can just avoid the referral and go do it via their website.
Nope, no bonuses for those who don't want others to get a piece of the action.
Pretty cool, if you ask me!
Shows that they actually care about the people promoting their company, namely, they care about customer satisfaction!
But sure, you can look at it any way you want to, it doesn't change the fact that if you want the $100 bonus, you have to use a referral link. End of that story.
So, HOW and WHAT is the $100 for?
Well, here is a snapshot from the user console:
Pretty self explanatory.
You sign up via the referral link (listed below) pay in $25 into your account credit. So it is there for you to use at any given time. You don't lose your $25 worth of credit.
You get $100 of credit as a bonus from them.
& the person who referred you gets a $25 bonus added to their account.
Simple enough, almost can be described as a pay it forward type of bonus, but you get to keep your $25 too!
WOW, double the money + $100 for YOU.
OK, so why would anyone need another hosting package?
Well, for many reasons.
Let me just name a few.
It is there when needed to test anything out. Anything from lets say an app that may need nothing more than a 1GB server, to a friggin code that needs 16GB.
Best part about it is that once you finished your testing, for example, you just cancel that server service and you only get charged for the hours it was up.
That's right, "hours". So lets say you test something that requires a 16GB server. You set it all up, debug it, get it all to where you want it to be and you are satisfied that you can now use it for public use.
Simply cancel the server, you pay the $1 or $2 for the short time that you were testing it and that is that.
Simple enough.
Isn't it!
PLUS, here is another reason.
It is an added asset, a tool, for everyone and anyone who is involved with anything that may or may not require you to get into coding. So even if you yourself are not a coder/programmer/Engineer, no big deal.
You set this up, have it sitting there for when needed and your $25 is there. You have it ready to use whenever needed.
Don't get me wrong, it's somewhat like when you see a tradesman with two of he same "saw". WTF is that all about?
Well, it makes sense. If needed, or should I say, WHEN needed it is there, ready and waiting.
& for $25, who cares, especially, considering that it can last you for ages depending on what you are doing.
To prove my point, I set up the 1GB server. It has been up for like 2 weeks now. That is a server that can handle most of the "bots" and apps that most of us see here on Steem.
Cost to date = Less than $2 in the past two weeks.
Seriously. I mean, that is nothing. LITERALLY NOTHING. As it is being deducted from the $100 bonus I got from DigitalOcean.
NOTHING. ZILCH. ZERO. "0".
No BS, no exaggerations, no salesman pitch.
I put in $100 of credit. Yep, paid $100 in, because I know that no matter what, I have one of the most reliable services out there whenever needed, no matter what it is that I am doing or plan on doing.
In my case, I'll openly admit that this is my "Test net" tool. I have it when needed.
Although, I do know for a fact that some of the most commonly known of services here on Steem are run on their servers.
You, know, the ones that we use daily and that are always up and running and serving their purposes! (making money).
So, how can you get your $100 bonus from DigitalOcean:
Step 1. Use this link to register.
https://m.do.co/c/d6199b419615
Step 2. Pay in a $25 credit to your account, to unlock the $100 bonus.
and that is it!
Simple as that.
Do I care about the $25 bonuses?
Well, yes and no. I have what I want. I got the $100 bonus. I have my $100 that I paid into my account. I have one of the worlds most reliable and longest running hosting services whenever I need it.
I'm happy.
Because I'm happy, I can safely post about it here and recommend it and if I get a referral bonus or two along the way, great, if not, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.
But seriously, $150 bonuses for $25. That is a great deal. No matter how anyone looks at it or calculates it. Well done to DigitalOcean for this HACKTOBERFEST.
Hope you take advantage of this deal, only 6 Days left til the end of October.
If you want to take advantage of it, then don't leave it til, tomorrow, because tomorrow is always tomorrow.
til the next time,
Great deal there @Jack. What are the payment options, Can one pay using crypto like STEEM? Thanks for the information.

Credit card or Pay Pal.
I used Pay Pal.
Worked like a charm, no waiting like with some of the hosting services I tried in the past.
As the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for" only in this case you pay in $25, use it whenever you need it and you get another $100 + someone else gets an extra $25 of credit too!
No complaints from me on this one.

Yeah, why not. Best part about it is that you can use it for just about anything, you are not limited to "just hosting a web page", you can run any code on it what so ever.
Beauty of it all and at prices that are competitive.
Highly recommend it.
