One of the best way to make huge ROI (return-on-investment) is ICOs (initial coin offering). All you need to is to contribute to a crowdsale to help the project kickstart before the coin goes live and days or months down the line, when you see the prices climbing over the roof after being to the public for trading on the exchange, you can start counting your return.

Low on Budget
If you have no huge capital for investing in bitcoin, ethereum and other highly successful tokens, the best way to go is to start small on ICO's. The good thing is with as little as hundred or a couple of hundred bucks you can test the water and join any good ICO with good project behind it. After the coin is launched, you can either keep them for long time or sell them off for fiat or other altcoins that might appeal to you.

My first ICO is NVO...counting down now.
While I am not a fan of ICO's (as some could be really bogus and over ambitious), I researched this project and just love the ideal of having a decentralised exchange (this is like trading without coinbase, bittrex, kraken etc). Since the essence of decentralisation is being in full control of one's secret key and investment, the NVO project caught my eye and I have full certainty of it's success. If you want to join their crowdsale, here is the link https://nvo.io/ Get an account and follow the instructions on how to participate before it closes in few hours. Even so, there are many more ICOs apart from NVO.

Newbies
If you are new to ICOs or crypto in general. Don't panic. It's not the end of the world. There are many more ICO's going on or waiting to be announced. ICO's are definitely the starting point for getting good bargains for your crpto investment especially when on a low budget. But the real advice is not to invest in any ICO unless you know: (1) the project behind it (2) the team members and their reputation (3) the professionalism of their website, logo design, website contents, general concept and their relevance to blockchain and decentralisation (4) how likely is the project to succeed (5) who are the advisers and escrow representatives behind the project (6) Any prototype of the concept they are about to create (7) any affinity to the developers world (reddit, github, etc) (8) would ordinary members of the public actually see the project they are introducing as a wow-concept (9) use common sense. If the above 9 points are satisfied then the return on investment could be quite exponential.
