Japan Summer Heat

2 years ago I was in Tokyo at the peak of summer heat, in august. It was probably the hottest I've ever experienced Japan, running in to convenience stores to enjoy some cool aircon breeze after every few steps in the sun. It was especially hot on one of the days because there were no clouds and the sun was blazing...

This year I was in Osaka in mid July (Yes.. summer again...) and it was really hot, but not to the previous extent in my opinion. You might have also seen some news reports recently about the crazy heat in Japan, I left just a little before that maximum temperature.

grab some lotteria Kakigoori before walking again

Everyday it was about 35 to 38 degrees when I was there and on google weather it showed that it felt like it was upwards of 40 degrees. I think I turned a few shades darker and my ankle tanline is rather obvious.

I saw some interesting Summer processions there but I wonder how hot they felt standing and shouting and carrying things in the sun for so long!

it seemed ti be just an all female carrying activity

looks really hot doesn't it

After every trip to Japan in the summer I tell myself not to go again during this season. But I always end up doing so anyway...

That is hot and the photos look hot. It has been in the 90F's here and I thought that was bad. Give those girls carrying the shrine some cold water

HAHA oh after that I actually saw some helpers walking along that were fanning and spraying water at them to help cool them down!

It's so hot as i can see, by that mid July it's raining constantly here in Nigeria .
