So i tried those plant based hotdogs from Nathan’s Famous lastnight! They came in yesterday and my fiancé and I could not wait!!!The flavor is really good, and the texture is unlike any veg dog I've ever had, kind of firm or stiff, definitely no mush!
Would I pay $45.00 for six dogs again? No, but I will buy them once they are sold for retail in stores. Definitely worth trying!
To everybody who can't get over how much of MY OWN MONEY I spent...I saved from two paychecks that's a month that I saved for, to get these. 😋 Because food is my favorite. But my main motivation was to tell Nathan’s Famous "YES!!! Move this forward and more." Thats how we make change, its in how we spend our dollar. 🤘🖖
sweetie, thats what we all looking for... Hahaha.🤣 Unfortunately, these were not snappy, but instead firm. Definitely closest texture bite wise I have had to a real hot dog in 8yrs, but you do not get that casing snap.
I just heard this morning the buns have milk and butter, not sure if it applies to yours. But make sure you check it!
I remembered I didn’t buy because they couldn’t tell me their buns are vegan. I want to support and show there’s a need for this so even at $45 I’d do it once lol
It was kind of a treat to myself, cause I never get myself anything. If you have any Nathan’s shops near you you can get them individually and for cheaper.
I wanted to buy but couldn’t justify the cost just yet. Now that I have feedback it sound worth it to maybe splurge for once and hope they go nationwide in stores soon!!
This looks a lot like what I eat most days, though the cheaper version because I'm broke as shit.
I think I like the Smartlife brand veggie dogs the best, but the Yves ones are also good. I tried the Field Roast frankfurters, and was definitely not impressed with the mushyness. If I ever get a chance to try this brand though, I for sure will :)
