WASHINGTON- United States President Donald Trump has accused Russia of continuing to protect North Korea. Trump said Russia undermines US and international sanctions against North Korea.
Speaking during a meeting with the head of the US state in Washington, Trump initially threw praise at China for its efforts to curb North Korea's economic activity. He later criticized Russia for continuing to pursue economic activity with North Korea.
"Russia is sending what China has issued from the country," Trump said, as reported by Anadolu Agency on Tuesday (27/2).
In addition to Russia, Trump also blames former US Presidents George Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama for failing to curb North Korea, saying they should resolve the issue from long ago.
"The Bush administration is doing nothing, Bush's second, the Obama administration wants to do something, he told me that this is the biggest problem the country has, but they do nothing, and it will be much easier that time than it is now. he said.
The statement comes three days after Washington imposed sanctions described as the biggest US sanctions against any country to date, seeking to halt North Korea's crude and coal trading
