♨🏘 I Just got a last minute call from my ex boss to do a Fire Watch job tonight , on a house that caught on fire Sunday Afternoon , out in Peachland !! Its at a house up in the mountains , over looking the Okanagan Lake . Im currently still on EI , ( Employment Insurance ) So I jump at the chance to earn a little extra cash to pay some bills . It sucks though that theres no internet here and I need to use my data ! 👎
♨🏘 The cause is still undetermined , as the fire department is still investigating which is why security is needed to keep looters out , includeing the owners , and us or their insurance will be void as its considered an active crime scene . The fire chief will be here in the morning to investigate . We need to also watch of course for another flare up or fire to spark ! Untill the investigation is over , it will be under 24/ 7 watch ! And I will be back again tomorrow , Monday night I believe from 8 pm till 8 am , 12 hrs . Most likely Tuesday as well, unless Richard can get someone else besides Paul and I splitting the 24 hrs .
♨🏘 I arrived at 11 pm and its dark and raining , I took 2 I will show at the end with just my headlights on it , and as soon as the sun comes up , I will take a bunch of photos to share !♨🏘

🏘♨ Thats it ! One thing about being a security guard is we get to do many kinds of different jobs that keeps it interesting , and were allowed to go places that no one else can ! Im working there again tonight with no internet , useing my data , so i will be on steemit sparingly , tomorrow as well , so im trying to blog as much as i can before i leave around 7 pm .

Thanks for your kind reply ! I just found out someone turned on the wrong burner , and there was a pot of oil on the back burner that caught on fire when they went downstairs to watch tv . Its sad for them indeed ! 👍💙😊

It is easy to see from your photos why they built there, the views are terrific. Looking at the back of the cars the heat must have been enormous, they were lucky to get it under control. Just think if it was summer, you would have lost the whole state.

The house is a total write off. All the inside from what i can see is burned to a crisp. And for sure if it was summer it could have burned down the whole mountain side. Lots of trees , orchards , and other houses close by. Thanks for your kind reply.😊

Thanks for replying. Yes Okanagan lake is huge . Im working here still tonight in Peachland and in Kelowna where i live downtown im only 2 blocks walk to the lake. Lots of tourists all summer long here. We also have many wineries and golf courses. Its a playground for the rich Lol.😆. The lake is 135km long.ive been gere 12 years and could never afford to go on it.

Its a great job depending on the company you work for ! Im lucky I have a great boss ! Before i was laid off i had a full time construction security job and was at the same site for a year !
