If you are reading this it is because I aced my job interview and got a promotion! How you can do the same.
The Roller Coaster Ride
It was the weekend and my job interview was on Monday. I was coming off the high induced by the invitation I had received earlier in the week to join the hiring manager for an interview.
With increasing desperation, almost as someone watching it unfold from outside of me, I could sense my confidence sinking rapidly. The weekend had been a little rough in spots, which really didn’t help. I wondered how I would go to a job interview and do well under these conditions?
I hit my low point Monday morning before work. I literally felt like crying. I didn’t want to face the interview panel and the thought actually crossed my mind to call and cancel.
Fortunately, I knew I couldn’t go through with cancelling. I couldn’t allow such a confirmation that I was a failure. I was going to have to come up with a way to motivate myself.
How To Ace Your Job Interview
I began searching for videos I could watch to quickly change my state of mind and build my confidence. My interview was in a few hours!
I came across this video by Sudden Wealth TV. The video is entitled, “Do This to Instantly Boost Your Confidence,” with Robert Pagliarini as the presenter.
In the video, Mr. Pagliarini explains that the key is in how you use your body. There are certain exercises you can do that actually change the hormone levels in your body, increasing your testosterone levels, confidence and power.
The presentation is based on the findings of a Harvard researcher by the name of Amy J.C. Cuddy.
I decided to give it a try. What did I have to lose?
At first, my body resisted. I had no energy at all. But I was determined to put this technique to the test. I forced myself to tense up and sit up straight, in a large and extremely aggressive posture. A posture that wanted to expand beyond it’s physical bounds, bursting with confidence, power and energy. I forced myself to continue in this manner for approximately half an hour. I hope nobody noticed my exaggerated posture as I drove to work…
I can honestly tell you the exercises actually worked! I quickly had a renewed sense of confidence, energy and even power which carried with me through the interview.
The effect was very real. I now knew in my mind and felt in my heart that I could do it. I knew that the key to my success would be this verify confidence and certainty of success that I was now feeling.
That was all that mattered in the interview. I knew I wouldn’t give the perfect answer to every technical question presented, but I knew that I could display perfect confidence and a smile that would make me a very appealing candidate.
SUCCESS!
I found out today that I aced the interview and got the promotion! I am so excited right now! This will be a salary increase for me and I will gain many new skills that will lead me closer to achieving my career goals. I will be expanding my geeky mind as a Data Processing Coordinator. This is going to be an incredible opportunity for me.
Thanks For Helping Me!
I am so thankful I came across this video as it has changed my life in significant ways. Thank you Robert Pagliarini and Amy J.C. Cuddy!
I also want to thank the Steemit Community for helping me. I feel that I owe my success in part to the positivity, creativity and successes you have shared with me since I joined just two weeks days ago! It has been an amazing two weeks.
Thank you!
