A small seed should be planted about one finger segment deep, while a large seed should be planted about two finger segments inside.
Plants that are suitable for planting in nurseries are cabbage, tomatoes, green vegetables, spinach, eggplants, large chillies, onions, chilies, cucumbers, and okra.
Plants that are suitable to be planted directly on the field are pumpkin, corn, beans, beans, turnips, sunflowers, luffa and melons.
However, almost all plant seeds will grow better if planted in nurseries. It would be very good to label each seed planted. Write the name and date of planting on the label. This will be very useful, especially for large-scale nurseries and community nurseries.
It is best to make the seeds be moved to the field at the beginning of the rainy season.
Estimate the time needed for seeds to grow until they are ready to be transferred to the land, for example:
• Vegetable plants usually take 3-4 weeks from seed to planting in the field.
• A fast growing tree plant takes 2-3 months.
• Trees that grow slowly need 3-5 months.
Planting Seeds Directly into the Field
Some types of plants will grow much better if planted directly on the land, such as carrots. However, this plant needs special attention for its growth.
Steps to direct planting :
- Hoe the soil well before planting the seeds. Add some sand if the soil contains too much clay.
- Flush the land with water.
- Plant the seeds not too deep, then sprinkle with thin fine sand or soil, about ½ cm.
- Flush with water again, then cover the ground for 1 week to keep the soil moist.
- If there is no rain, flush with water a little every day, and close again.
- When something grows, remove the lid and keep watering every day or every other day, for two weeks.
All vegetables and plants that are planted by planting roots or stems will grow better if planted directly on the land, for example: sweet potatoes, potatoes, cassava, water spinach, watercress, onions, ginger, and bamboo.

I've been planning to make a little seed nursery here. :) You read my mind. :)
