Steemit Guides | How to buy Steem with Bitcoin

Hi Steemians

Today I am writing a step by step guide on how you can buy Steem using bitcoin to get more benefits in steemit community. Steem can be used to power up your steemit and help others as well. There are some contest and bots where you can use your Steem to get more benefits.

So here are simple steps you need to follow in order to add Steem to your account.

Step 1

Go to menu and click on Buy Steem as shown in below picture.

Step 2

You will be directed to Blocktrades website which is used for transactions. Enter your steemit username in "Your Receive Address" and write anything in memo. Do not enter anything send and receive boxes. Click on "Get Deposit Address"

Step 3

You will be directed to next page where bitcoin address will be given. You have to send any amount you wish to buy steem. So copy that address and go to your bitcoin wallet. I am using Blockchain and it can be Coinbase, Bittrex or Poloniex.

Step 4

Send any amount you wish to buy steem. In this example I am sending 50 USD to deposit address that we got in step 3. This is same as you do any bitcoin transaction.

Step 5

Now sit back relax and wait for transactions confirmations. As soon as confirmations will be done on transaction, you will receive Steem in your account. A note will be shown in wallet history like you seeing in red highlighted box.

So these are the simple steps you have to follow to buy Steem and add more value to steemit account. I hope you understand this guide and it will help in your steemit journey.
