Have you ever had difficulty trying to adjust your sampled bass pitch to the rest of your track/instruments? You hear that some of lower notes are in tune but some of them not? Problem occurs especially with subs where human ear is not so precise as in other frequencies and it's really hard to deal with it without any digital help. There is nothing worse than bass that is out of tune in your production works.
During 8 year period of pitching my bass samples (by ear) like a typical noob I couldn't find a proper way to do it. If your bass/anything sounds out of tune in particular notes it's probably out of tune entirely! There is no physical magic happening there as i thought before trying to correct the pitch of every single note. There is also another problem... You can think that your instrument is in tune when it's actually not! Today I got great idea - TUNER!! - YEAH! Omg I'm Genius! I literally needed 8 years to find it out.
Download GTune! This VST plugin is free and watch my short video. Don't use primary pitch knob in your sample settings! Find and use fine pitch so you can use your main knob for the other purposes.
