How To - Sump for turtle Aquarium - Pt-6 (video)

in howto •  7 years ago

Ninth! - So, on the top, I glued this foam, which I believe is to put on the base of the aquarium, to help it stabilize and not vibrate and all, I used it to layer the top of the cover / turtle feeding area, and ramp, because it provides a good grip, doesn´t melt with the glue I used, and is water proof!
As you all can see, now the top has a cut in the corner, which is to pass the tube that comes out from the pump.
Originally the plan was to pass that tube, underneath the cover, but that left a square cut, bellow the level of the water, so it would overflow directly to the pump area!

Here is some video footage of the pressure testing process and overflow look!
As you can see, here there are still some leaks that I had to attend.
