7 Tips To Be More Creative 2.png

The greatest things in life come from one simple idea. How do those ideas originate in the first place? From creativity of course! Albert Einstein said that creativity is more important thank knowledge.

In a way, he is completely accurate with this statement. While knowledge is important, how can things in society progress without the power of creativity? Ideas are creativity, and we need creative people to make the world an interesting place.

Try these Following Tips To Tap Into More Creativity

Record Your Ideas

This is a great tip. Many ideas come and go. If you have no way to keep track of them, your idea will become lost again into the ether, deep within your subconscious mind never to be found again. It may resurface later, but why take the chance of letting it go entirely?

Record your ideas when you can. For instance, if you go on morning walks, you can take a recorder with you and record your ideas as you walk so you don’t lose the important ones.

Don’t Dismiss Impossible Ideas

If an idea seems impossible to you, don’t dismiss it entirely. You could be giving up a very good idea just because you think it can’t be done. It may be possible for someone else, or it may be possible for you later.

Ex. You need money to start this idea but you don’t have any now. Don’t dismiss it for that reason. You may have a way to get money later in the future, making this idea possible later on.

Change In Scenery

If you’re always in the same place, this can stifle creativity. Go to a park or some other place that will enhance your creativity. Nature in general has a way of making people more creative. Nature is pure in its beauty and simplicity, so this could be a reason for that.

Journal Writing

Try journal writing for just 20 minuets every day. Journal writing is great because it gets rid of a lot of NEGATIVE energy. I’ve done it myself before and it works. If you’re constantly dwelling on negative things, this is horrible for creative energy and for your health.

Listen to Music

Listening to music has a huge impact on creativity. Whatever your favorite genre of music is, listen to that and it will help you get the ideas going. Better yet, listen to music and do journal writing at the same time. It will make a major difference in your day.

I hope you have enjoyed these creativity tips. Try them for yourself and you’ll see a difference in your creativity workflow.

You know, I keep saying I am going to start journaling but I never make time for it. As much as I love to write -- and as many thoughts that are always swirling around in my head -- I'm sure it would do good to get my ideas and thoughts on paper every day. I NEED to make time for this activity to help with my creativity - and maybe I'd worry about less too!

Yeah. Definitely make time for writing in a journal. It really gets rid of so much negativity!

I've been meaning to start a Journal. I think that blogging on steemit is a great way to journal. I also love to listen to music but its so strange that I stopped listening to music while I work. I work from home and I think it kills my concentration or something. I enjoyed your creative tips.

Aw, thanks :) I agree that steemit is a good way to write and journal. You get paid based off engagement. what could be better than that! Haha.

It's so very easy to have brilliant ideas that seem to disappear into thin air. I find that when I'm just falling asleep or just waking up, I have strokes of genius. And I was always confident that I'd never ever forget the idea. Then of course, later in the day, that stroke of genius was nowhere to be found. So that's when I started keeping a small recorder by my pillow. At first, I found that I could hardly understand my words - I was, after all, close to sleeping. But then I started being more careful to enunciate better and was able to have all those brilliant ideas at my fingertips.

It was such a great idea that I carry that little recorder whenever I go out and I use it for my frequent strokes of genius, but also for reminders! It's marvelous. I've suggested it to lots of people, but don't think anyone has taken me up on it. If they only knew .....

A recorder is good. For me, when I'm improvising at piano, I really need to get better with recording my ideas. But it's interesting. When you're improvising and exploring your creativity in real time, everything flows smoothly. When you try to record it or write it down, the analytical process starts to come into affect and takes over the creative side of the brain. I believe that recording your ideas is the best medium for recording in real time so that the analytical process doesn't take over as much.

I usually write down my ideas in my phone with the app Samsung Notes. My phone is always near me so it's the closest pen and paper around every day.

I like the nature an music ideas. I usually combined the two. When I am feeling drained and particularly sure of how to approach a certain situation, I put on my headphones and take a walk to the open fields and usually watch the sun set. It's the most calm experience I've ever had.

Great post man.

Thank you! Taking a walk listening to music along an open field sounds incredibly relaxing. Nature is awesome and we shouldn't take it for granted.

I agree with you 100%.

Journaling an excellent one I remember I would journaled 120 days and then stopped. I would also say watching cartoons or playing (Nintendo) games can inspire creativity well it works for me anyway

As an artist, I really connected and could agree more with this article, thanks.
