Asthma is a chronic disease of the airway that may cause
(i) Shortness of breath.
(ii) Tightness within the chest.
(iii) Coughing.
(iv) wheezing.

Asthma patients usually appear to respond to stimuli like aero-allergens and cold, dry air. Their air passages are inflamed and sensitive. If not treated, this raised inflammation results in a severe condition, usually referred to as “Asthma attack”

(a) The muscles around the bronchial tubes tighten, therefore narrowing the air passage- (Bronchospasm/ Bronchoconstriction).

(b) Production of the mucous secretion inside the bronchial tubes restricts more air flow.

Moringa seed kernels posses wonderful anti-asthma properties.

It has been discovered that moringa seeds have anti-asthmatic properties. Moringa is particularly effective in treating respiratory disorder (bronchial asthma) thanks to high concentrations of beta-sitosterols, that exerts anti-inflammatory effects in allergen-induced airway inflammation. Studies show that moringa proves to be a decent antimicrobial which will be used to manage and improve asthmatic and other respiratory complications.
Moringa has four vital anti-asthma benefits:

  1. Broncodilator: Moringa dilates the bronchi and bronchioles, increasing flowing to the lungs by decreasing resistance within the metastasis airway.

  2. Mast cell Stabilization: Moringa helps manage allergic disorders by obstructing the discharge of histamine.

  3. Anti-Microbial: Symptoms of shortness of breath are sometimes signs of bronchial infection. Moringa Oleifera possesses potent anti-microbial activity once tested against numerous respiratory pathogens.

  4. Anti-Inflammatory: Moringa is blessed with potent anti-inflammatory activity, similar to that of pharmaceutical drug “Diclofenac Sodium” also called “Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs”, but once more with none of the possibly severe negative side effects.

The major factors that trigger asthma are:
• Allergies
Extreme weather
• Hereditary
• Air pollutants and irritants like dust, fumes, strong odor and smoke
• Stress, emotions and depression
• Medication
• Infections on the respiratory tract
• Exercise- causes exercise induced asthma
• Gastroesophageal reflux disease

How to Decrease the Severity of Symptoms of Asthma

1 Get dry moringa seeds,
2 Grind it to fine powder.
3 Take 3g dose for 3 weeks and always take it with water.

Apart from the improvement in symptoms, Moringa oleifera can considerably improve your Forced vital capacity (FVC) and forced expired Volume (FEV1).
Forced vital capacity is clinically helpful as an index of lung function.
Forced expired volume in one second is a useful measure of how fast one can breathe out and full lungs can be emptied. it's the most effective measure of lung function for assessing air flow limitation or asthma severity.

THANK YOU….

Thanks for the information. I'll have to do some research into the growing climates of the moringa tree or where I could Source them here locally in Arkansas.

Your welcome, it's a very wonderful tree which i personally has benefited in several ways... i can't go a week without taking the seeds or drinking it's tea .

If I may ask where abouts do you live and do you grow it there locally?

I live in Nigeria and we grow it locally
