How to make an Easter small world play How To: Weekly contest by @drawmeaship

Today we are going to make an easter small world play for our little ones:)

What you will need:

-Junk mail

-scissors

-eggs box

-little chicks or rabbits...

-plastic tab or a  carboard box...

1   We are going to start with cutting our junk mail in fine strips this is a great exercise to improve your little one scissors skills and concentrations skills.

2   Place all your paper strips in the bottom of your box and now add pieces of an egg box to create little chicks or bunny bed or houses.

3   Add some animals I love to make animals out of paper rolls:).

4   Then you can add anything that may look interesting, like some eggs or cups or stones...

It doesn't have to be perfect as you can see in my pictures. I'm far from the amazing Instagram photos, but it is because this isn't my objective. What I'm looking for is to create an invitation to play for my daughter and let her create her own stories and explore her own ideas.

Learning opportunities:

Exercising fine motor, eye and hand coordination through scissors skill

Concentration skills via scissors skill

Encourage imaginative play.

Sensory play helps children to explore their 5 senses.

Language development

Connection to the adult world: Transferring in the play what they can see in the world around them.

Self-esteem is promoted in open-ended play because there isn't any right or wrong way to play.
