Indian Parliament Member Wants to Tax Crypto at 50%

In an interview with Forecast released on Tuesday, Indian MP Sushil Kumar Modi shared his views on cryptocurrency. Modi is a member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament.

He made the headline recently when he called on the Indian government to impose a tax of more than 30% on crypto income before passing the Finance Bill 2022 in the Rajya Sabha. He told the publication that the Indian government should tax up to 50% on crypto income.
