Some Huawei smartphone holders realized that an advertisement from Booking.com emerged on their phones without any alteration. The flag specifically appeared on the lock screen, reads9to5Google, on a percentage of the Chinese company's appliances likely not too powerful. Those who saw them had the "Magazine Unlock" feature active, which enables distinct pictures each moment a preset choice accesses the lock screen.

The German subsidiary of Huawei has already responded to a customer who notified the issue on Twitter, stating that writing on the lock screen was not a direct advertisement for the service: "We're sorry that you assumed it was our plan to support the brand," a business manager wrote in reply, telling you to deliberately alter the range of pictures to circumvent the text.

9to5Google also verified that the method outlined by Huawei Germany operates: by accessing the Settings and deleting the picture in which it emerged (and all the pictures in which it emerged), consumers can efficiently deactivate advertising. The advertisements on the lock screen are a venial issue, but some customers have been upset, who immediately paid online for their comments.
