A Question for HubPages MemberssteemCreated with Sketch.

I've been on HubPages for the past 4 years and cashed out a few times, but the earnings there accrue way too slowly. I know beyond a doubt that it is a legit site.

HubPages-using people, what has your experience on the site been? Share your thoughts please. I'm trying to learn a trick or two from the community here.

Hi @tintiano... I've been on Hubpages for almost 10 years; on the whole it has been the only legitimate site that pays contributors for their content, and doesn't suddenly stop or go away in the night.

The sad truth is that web content has almost zero value by itself-- there are millions of capable people who want to get paid for their content... and so the people who pay for content can be extraordinarily pick AND "cheap," in terms of what they pay.

Anyway, I have typically made about $200-300 a year from my articles, most of it from Amazon sales of things I specifically have recommended.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to share your experience, @denmarkguy. HubPages was started in about 2006 if I am right, so you must be one of the earliest members! My earnings have only been about $70 or so every year... I'm trying to ratchet up that number. I have never used Amazon capsules in my hubs because I've never been sure about how to handle them without coming off as "too promotional."
