Parental Anxiety

in human •  7 years ago

Your common ordinary parent has a normal twinge of anxiety as they watch their children grow into responsible adults. Not only does this never stop, but it spreads to others who are younger when they do semi-dangerous things. D506613F-D46C-4894-99A9-769E343F1BFE.jpeg

Term definition: “my kids” means my biological children and younger people I have come to care about and maybe even you.

Today I learned that one of my kids was going to travel internationally in a few days. This caused one of those parental anxiety moments. I will not try to influence the decision, but I quickly recognized the feeling.

One of my kids has a daughter who will soon be 21 years old. I often wish their lives were easier, but again must remain distant and quiet. Nevertheless, I am parentally concerned.

Another one of my kids recently started a new semester at a nearby university. Remembering my own mistakes at that time gives me reason to fear. Unfortunately, I must allow personal lessons to remain personal.

I could go on, but I suspect you have no further need of examples of parental concern. Every life faces danger every day. My point is the distant and unknown connection between people forms a spiritual web. I can prove none of this, yet I feel it. I believe that through these connections, we are able to support each other.

Does the unknown and unseen link to a stranger on a distant continent exist or make a difference in our lives? At this point, I can only hope so. Keep in mind my theory may never be tested, but I hope you never feel alone! Someone, somewhere is probably praying for you. It may be me, but I hope you have someone nearby to hug.

Here is today’s beauty.

Children are the greatest and beautiful gift that God has given us, and to see a son grow up and then leave, it hurts but only to think that his future will be magnificent, pray for them and wish him the best .. I encourage you, my friend.
