Subconscious Reprogramming Process

in human •  7 years ago

I have spent many years exploring ways to realize more of my potential. I have trained in NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming), Thought Field Therapy, Quantum Biofeedback work, Guided Imagery and Music and Body Talk.

Cellular biologist, Bruce Lipton, who is famous for his work in epi-genetics states that only about 5% of our actions are from what we intend consciously and, even though positive affirmations are well intended to change behavior, they don't in and of themselves change the subconscious programming that runs our lives. He is an advocate for processes like those I mentioned above.

I also know that we create new neural pathways by learning new behaviors. I have always been able to write both forward and in mirror image with my right hand. Wanting to develop more of my right brain capacities, I decided to become ambidextrous. I started out by doing crossword puzzles with my mom, printing the answers with my left hand.

Then I went on to doing my journaling with my left hand--first writing in forward cursive style and then moving on to mirror, or backwards, writing. I always make a point to write the messages I want to "program" in, as I override my default writing pattern. I notice that the more proficient I am at the left-handed and mirror writing, the more old or conditioned belief systems seem foreign.

I had to be consistent to the point where I could write naturally in both directions with either hand. So, if you decide to try something like this, stick with it. It has been well worth it for me!!

Have fun and please share any tips you have for subconscious re-wiring. :)

Cool! Non dominant hand is important still to me. Mirror writing with my dominant hand..; had not thought of that! My eldest [and left-handed] daughter did begin writing as a youngster all in mirror writing. That was really fascinating. The school had the good sense to say it would sort itself out, and it did.

I used to take notes in college in mirror image. I had to focus so much on the lectures that I really didn't study so much otherwise. Of course, Leonardo da Vinci was famous for writing his scientific notes in mirror image.

I didn't know that about Leonardo da Vinci
