What is this human animal all about. What would we be like if we were not domesticated and repressed. Would we become wild beasts? no. We are already savage. So time to have some prestige for the human animal. In a more socially open situation there would be no need for repression. Some people try to tell me they party and take drugs or whatever so they can lose their inhibitions. I say why do you have any in the first place!!
The first signs of malnutrition showed up in the human species with the advent of agriculture and the domestication of animals. Now it's blown out of proportion with mass monoculture farming of plants and animals as well as synthetic foods. Around the same time domestication started is when non food items were added to the human diet
Anti social behaviors came to be just the same nervous lashing out as animals in zoos. I think breaking the mold of domestication is important to be vital!! Even the food arena. If you are not eating right then you are not thinking straight. What is this sterile synthetic today world all about. It's bombardment from advertisement, why does it work...but why!? What does the un repressed human act like. What would it take to take down all the illusions.
Yes I sound like I may be ranting on here. My brain may have turned to mush. All these thoughts in all these times. Now to let it out. Ask the questions about the human animal. It's wise for me to hit the books again and get reminders and dig into more history to better understand todays predicament. Started to read The Silent Language by Edward T. Hall Here is a blurb by Erich Fromm on the cover to give you the gist of what it's about - ..shows how cultural factors influence the individual behind his back, without his knowledge. A friend of mine lent it to me recently. Whoo wee, I'm not the only one to think about these matters. Yippie!!
So yea, I will touch back on forth on this. Will get tighter with every go. This has reminded me of that old band called The Human Beast !! The same pal showed me this song that lent me this recent book. We used to have this book many years ago but I never read it at the time. But I figure if Erich Fromm likes it, it must be a pretty good read. Here is a tune by The Human Beast from youtube
I think that's my favorite song by them. Reality presented as an alternative. OOhhh boy what a concept!!
Getting back to your human animal is getting back to your inner cuddly bear. You are a vicious creature who protects your cuteness and creature comforts! No new born is afraid of the dark, strangers or animals!! Get back to your own warm and fuzzy human beast!!!!
